Beth's Funny Story About Trying to Discreetly Store Condoms

By , About.com GuideOctober 13, 2011

Follow me on:

I always love reading your responses and advice to many of my questions under my Reader's Stories and Tips Category. This week, I thought that I would share with you Beth's response to my question: Where Do You Store Your Condoms? This was Beth's charming story:

When I first started using condoms I carried several in my pocketbook. Our new puppy managed to get the strip of packets out of my purse and flung them all over the house. Not exactly the way I had planned to tell my mum what I was up to.

Sort of the old, "my dog ate my homework excuse!"  Even though we can find some humor in Beth's story, it also carries an important message about the need to safely store condoms. Did you know that a properly stored condom (one kept in its original, sealed package in a cool, dry and dark place) can usually last up to 4 years?

So I thank Beth for sharing her story, and now I want to HEAR FROM YOU! Where do you store your favorite condom type? Are you discreet? Do you have a special hiding spot like a condom cube, case or compact?

Also, you can find more opportunities to share your experiences, thoughts or tips in any of my articles located under the "Reader's Stories and Tips" link found on the left of the homepage of this site.
