Oh Yeah... There's an App for That!

Follow me on:

Okay, so I acknowledge that our iPhones, iPods and tablets can be a great source of entertainment... after all, playing a fierce round of Angry Birds can help relieve some stress or scoring a 62 point word during a Words with Friends game can make us feel pretty darn smart! It is also pretty easy to make the argument that our smart phones and iPads can be a convenient way to look up information that we may need or find the closest gas station. But how about taking this technology even further?

Imagine that you are on vacation in some exotic city, and meet your potential future mate... now, you are in desperate need of a condom, and you don't even know how to even get back to your hotel. How great would it be if you could use your phone to find the nearest place that sells condoms? Take this even farther, what if this app can even tell you if the store is open and if there are presently condoms in stock?

As long as we've got our imaginations in gear, how convenient would it be if you could simply use your smart phone to scan an over-the-counter contraceptive or lubricant to see if it has ingredients that you may be allergic to? Talk about earning the definition "smart phone."

Well my friends, to both of the above scenarios, I am proud to say... yep, there's an app for that! Contraception and your iPhone, who would have ever thought these two would ever have anything in common?
