What I'd Do Differently
- I would have asked more questions about the insertion as well as aclimating to the IUD. I read the leaflet and did research online - no one told me I would be in so much pain. Everyones tolerence is different but it is normal to feel cramping and pain for up to 4 weeks after insertion.
- The procedure itself was tolerable but I had bad cramping for days after I know feel the forgien body it's as if my uterus is trying to expell the IUD - I'm hoping it will get use to the feeling and not be so aware of the device.
- My advise is be careful with the decision becasue it is an invasive method of birth control
