What is Your Tubal Ligation Status?

Currently, I have not had my tubes tied yet.

Obstacles in Your Tubal Decision

I probably should have had my tubes tied after my last C-section but chose not too. I am fearful about the permanent nature of this procedure. I would possibly like to have one more child but my husband doesn’t want any more. I don’t want to undergo a tubal ligation until I can either have another child or resolve in my mind (and be okay with) the notion that I will never had the opportunity to be pregnant again.

What I'd Do Differently

  • I don't want to have any regrets which is why I am waiting until I feel absolutely certain that I do not want any more kids or that I will be okay with not having any more kids.

What Were/Are Some of the Factors in Your Decision?

The main factor is that although I don't always feel this way, deep down, I believe that my family is not complete and adding one more child would be perfect.

What was Most Helpful in Making Your Tubal Decision?

I have been grateful for all the information on this website about my various options as well as a forum like this where I can read about how others have made this important decision.

How Did You Know It Was “Time” for Permanent Measures?

I don't know! I am not sure it is time for me yet!

Did You Have One Single Deciding Factor?

Right now, my uncertainty is my deciding factor to wait.
