Thanks to continuous birth control pills like Lybrel, women can choose to completely eliminate their monthly periods. This idea seems to be very appealing; in fact, national survey results reveal that more than two-thirds of women said that they are interested in stopping monthly bleeding. Despite this rising interest, some women also seem concerned about the safety of suppressing one's period. It may be helpful to know that this practice is medically safe and acceptable. It definitely appears that attitudes and opinions have been radically changing over the last decade with respect to menstruation views. My, my, what would our grandmothers say?
